Purpose and Mission

  • Responsible for overseeing an entire product portfolio and providing strategic direction. Manages the entire product portfolio through the product lifecycle, from conception to launch and beyond. The mission is to ensure that the product meets customer needs, aligns with business objectives, and delivers maximum value to the organization.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy Development:
    - Develop and implement a product strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and market needs.
    - Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.

  • Product Roadmap Management:
    - Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the vision, strategy, and timeline for product development.
    - Prioritize features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market demand, and business objectives.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure successful product development and launch.
    - Facilitate communication and collaboration between teams to align on product goals and deliverables.

  • Product Development Oversight:
    - Oversee the product development process, from ideation to release, ensuring that products are delivered on time and within budget.
    - Manage the product backlog and ensure that development efforts are focused on the highest priority items.

  • Customer Feedback and Iteration:
    - Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product improvements and iterations.
    - Continuously refine and enhance the product based on user feedback and market changes.

  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    - Monitor product performance using key metrics and KPIs to ensure it meets business objectives.
    - Prepare and present reports on product performance, progress, and future plans to stakeholders.

Skills

  • Ability to develop and implement long-term product strategies.
  • Understanding of IT systems, software development processes, and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, customer needs, and product performance.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate cross-functional teams.

Previous Experience

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in product management, preferably in the IT or technology sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and launching products.

Qualifications and Education

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science,  Information Management, Data Science, or a related field.
