About the role
Your Impact as Quality Engineer
- Develop and maintain Level 3 QMS documentation across all Bekaert Engineering processes, in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Plan and conduct internal audits; track and close OFIs (Opportunities for Improvement) and NCs (Non-Conformities)
- Lead quality audits to identify process/documentation gaps and support CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), including supplier audits
- Manage customer complaint resolution using the 8D methodology
- Train teams on QMS and BDMS usage, and drive digital process improvements in collaboration with global teams
- Maintain quality data systems, including audit databases and the Quality Dashboard.
About You
Essential skills & competencies
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field with 4 -8 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) ISO 9001:2015 with proven hands-on experience in internal auditing, good to have knowledge of IATF.
- Working knowledge of auditing tools and methodologies; Six Sigma and structured problem-solving (e.g., 8D) are strong advantages.
- Skilled in planning, executing, and closing audits, including tracking OFIs and NCs and coordinating CAPA implementation across teams
- Strong knowledge of PPAP and First Article Inspection processes.
- Ability to coach, train, and support cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and comfortable working with digital quality tools and dashboards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
