Technical Lead - Microsoft Power Platform (Digital Manufacturing)

Purpose of the job

Bekaert is leading a transformation program to enhance the end-to-end digital experience that drive impact across multiple channels covering operations and commercial, with focus to 
•    improve relative cost position & cash utilization in manufacturing and supply chain operations
•     increase customer intimacy & conversion of marketing efforts in commercial. 

This role would support all Bekaert manufacturing facilities across the world in realizing the ambition of digital manufacturing to empower shop floor teams, fast decision making, assure traceability and go paperless.  The digital manufacturing transformation will foster digital capabilities at Bekaert. Digital systems, platforms and processes that 
•    are enablers to create intuitive user experiences with digital solutions with right level of TCO
•    supports an agile way of implementation ensuring speed to value and scalability across the plants 
•    ensures the right information is available to generate insights for fast decision making on the shop floor.
•    switch to a culture of continuous value improvement for the plant to work more efficiently, paperless and communicate better on the shop floor

We are able to offer you a technical lead role with an opportunity to support your further professional growth. You will work as part of a global development team that executes end to end application lifecycle and supports different types of solutions using Power Platform, thus being a low-code Microsoft application developer to staff our digital manufacturing development team.

Your role

•    Design, code and test program or application modules that meet design specifications
•    Design and build (mobile) applications 
•    Eager to follow, learn and apply new technologies and innovations
•    Pursue opportunities to improve delivery quality and efficiency within the organization
•    Follow and improve the software development lifecycle and software development practices of the company, prepare the software related technical documentation when needed
•    Write quality code, and ability to adhere to the coding guidelines
•    Contributing together with the Business & Technology teams for defining and implementing the IT roadmap for Digital Manufacturing.  
•    Review the requirements, principles and models and guide technology decisions for the IT organization across different business units at Bekaert.
•    Lead the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy, and technical debt, and implement solutions for improvement.
•    Be subject matter expert in Power platform solution designs and architecture. 
•    Work closely with product managers, product owners, business analysts, etc. Understand business requirement, design and execute solutions. 
•    Steer efficient utilization and deployment of various technology products, technology platform, development technologies, information, data, security controls and infrastructure services.
•    Works with Bekaert Architect community (e.g., enterprise, business, information, solutions, and security architects) to analyse enterprise business context (business strategy and trends) and derive the future state technology architecture.
 

Your Profile

•    Solid experience in Microsoft Power Platforms including Power apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Data verse, and Microsoft Azure services - Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL DB, Azure DW, Azure Event Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, IoT Edge and Logic App’s
•    Knowledge with software development and hands-on programming experience with C#
•    Interested to work with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET based software technologies
•    Interested in all sorts of mobile technologies
•    Interest in agile IT application design and build in collaboration with product owners and end users.
•    Experience in Agile/Scrum software development practices is a plus
•    The ability to work both in a team and alone and to manage your own workload.
•    Passionate about quality and continuous improvement, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, result oriented and proactive
•    Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders as well as solution developers
•    Good written and verbal English communication skills and multi-cultural sensitivity 
•    Interest to learn about manufacturing and shopfloor processes and improve these processes by using IT solutions.
•    Self-motivated, able to self-improve, learn new and complex technologies,

•    BS or higher degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
•    3+ years of experience with Microsoft Power platform - Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate (MS flow) to design, build, deploy and support digital applications. 
•    Good knowledge of data modelling/structures, algorithms and software design principles,
•    Understanding of programming language structure, object-oriented design, application of design patterns,
•    Experience in working with globally distributed teams and partners
