Purpose of the Job -
 

The objectives of the position are;
1) To coordinate APQP projects within the region(s) to ensure safe launches of the new product/process through the application of APQP stds.
2) To coach and guide during implementation and provide support by timely resoluton of problems to the Project teams and Project Managers.
3) To liaison with Program Management and Platform Leaders on the roll out of Programs through projects to fulfill stakeholders requirements.
4) To setup and execute an efficient and effective regional governance system to timely progress and resolve escalations.

Responsibilities -

 

1. Network with the Project Managers to provide continuous support in ensuring application of APQP standards to all APQP projects and at the same time continuously capture, share & promote best practices to further improve the global standards on periodic basis.

2. Train and ready the project teams and project managers on the Bekaert APQP standards and guide throughout the project life for correct implementation.
3. Act as a coach to continuously steer the project teams towards business goals by resolving problems and bottlenecks.

4. Support Project Managers to prepare regional / local business case in accordance with business proposal prepared at Program / platform level.
5. Consolidate with Program Managers / Platform leaders on roll out of projects to regions / plants to meet the requirements of senior stakeholders.

6. Organize regional level reviews, escalate issues & follow-up on KPIs
7. Participate in global reviews to represent the region
8. Prepare & circulate reports as per standard requirements

Projects roll out vs Program plan

Timely reviews of the projects & stage gates & Timely reporting of regional APQP status

Skills Required -

 

1. Bachelor or Masters degree. Education background in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Material science or other related fields 
2. Good level of competency in Quality core tools: APQP, PFMEA, PCP, PPAP, MSA & SPC
3. Knowledge of general manufacturing, design and development and commercial processes within the industry
4. Experience with change management and passionate about bringing change in the organization
5. Skilled in project management
6. Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills
7. Able to lead non-reporting teams to reach business goals
8. Experience with QMS ISO or IATF
9. Good English skill-both orally and in writing
10.Good computer skills (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Sharepoint, PowerBI, etc.)
