I. Purpose of the Role

BITC Adhesion Lab consists of Different types of adhesion tests, In process tests for Rubber & Steel Cord. The Technician in the Lab ensures timely planning & Execution of tests with the help of his/her subordinates. The technician ensures entry of the results in LIMS system. He/She also ensures the safe working practices in the Labs & timely maintenance of all machines in adhesion Lab.

II. Roles and Responsibilities

• Test Planning: To ensure that the adhesion tests are planned in LIMS. Planning of Adhesion request in LIMs must be accurate. Must ensure that the commitments of completion dates are met for adhesion lab.
• Test Expertise-Adhesion Lab: To gain testing knowledge in different adhesion tests, handle all the machines in the adhesion Lab, ensure proper sample preparation for static fatigue & materials Lab.
• Lab Operation: To ensure High safety standards are followed during testing, Ensure PM schedule for Adhesion Lab machines is maintained & followed. 
• MSA & Calibration: Ensure MSA schedule is timely followed. Ensure calibration of all equipment is done as per schedule.

III. Skills & Competencies

Formal Education – Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Work experience – Fresher/1-2 years (in Mechanical testing).
Knowledge & skills:
1 Customer focused attitude
2 Good communication skills
3 Proactive approach
4 Good team spirit, a strong sense of responsibility and being able to work independently.
5 Report making skills

Prefer to have
1 Knowledge of steel cord & rubber tests
2 Prior experience in Lab testing
