Job Title: GT – Electrical             Reports to: Maintenance Area Manager

Team Member Responsibility

It is the responsibility of every Team Member to observe all Health and Safety rules, to use good housekeeping practices, to use safe work practices, utilizing the BeCare tools, Life Saving Rules, wear personal protective equipment supplied for the type of work being performed.  Team Members are expected to report any unsafe act or working conditions immediately.  Any violation of safety rules or expectations will result in disciplinary action.   

Each Team Member must follow all Environmental guidelines and is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly manufacturing environment that ensures safe, high quality and efficient productivity.

Scope

Essential Job Functions

• self-motivated, with a high standard of work ethics;
• a positive attitude; willing to be an active participant of the team;
• working knowledge of plant equipment;
• formal training in electrical/electronics;
• electrical experience and knowledge of (including but not limited to):
  • Electrical prints and electronic schematics;
  • Familiarity with mechanical drawings;
  • AC and DC motors and their associated control circuits;
  • Use and interpretation of test equipment (volt-ohm-meter, amprobes, oscilloscope, etc.);
  • Solid state components;
  • High voltage switch gears;
  • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and simple programming techniques;
  • Shop and work place safety procedures.
• good troubleshooting abilities with the ability to troubleshoot to the component level;
• the ability to repair printed circuit boards, subassemblies and assemblies using acceptable industry practices;
• experience and proficiency in performing electrical wiring, component and assembly installation;
• willing to be respirator certified;
• Capable of performing the essential functions of the job, including lifting.
• Willing acceptance of call-in responsibilities and night shift.
• Perform tasks according to the skills matrix
• Complete training for tasks identified as relevant for job (internal and/or external)

Essential Skills and Competencies

• GED or High School Diploma
• Good Communication Skills
• Good Organizational Skills
