About the role

• Head the QA & Technical function in Bekaert Corporation to ensure good in-process Quality, Supplier quality and Final product quality compliance, governance and continuous improvement.
• Deployment of customer specific requirements, lead the cusomer complaint handling process.
• Manage the testing facilities (laboratories).
• Plan, develop, implement, coordinate and establish quality control and quality system procedures and techniques to ensure product quality conformity by  implementing the applicable Quality std such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949.
• Support the implementation of shop floor Quality excellence culture through out the organisation.
• Perform as a Management representative.
• To have control on Specs, Intellectual documents.
• Budgetary control on quality and technical related cost.
• Continuously improve efficiency & the internal Cost of Non Quality
• Act as a Product Safety Responsible to Product Safety & Conformity Representative for the plant
• Ensure the New products industrialization- Managing Quality planning during new product & process introduction (APQP)
• Ensure effective process change management and procss improvement projects
• Raw material specification handling , and finalizing in coordination with CQA , managing the new supplier approvals
• Lead, develop & manage the plant Technical and  Quality team including lab.

About You

Essential skills & competencies

• Bachelor’s degree or above, major in engineering or technology, quality management etc.
• Minimum 5 years of quality management experience in automotive/ relevant  industry
• Expert problem solver
• Trained & experienced in implementation / sustenance of QMS system
• Good communication, people management and organizational skills
• Open minded, and adaptable to a changing work environment & a global culture
