Purpose of the Job:

Responsible for realizing sales in Korea for Filtration, Heat Resistant Textiles, Conductive Solutions and Micro Cables. Manage the sales and sales support and the day-to-day commercial relationship with the clients. Implements the sales execution roadmap based on segment & marketing strategy. Manages the customer portfolio and the opportunity pipeline creating value both for the customers as well as for Bekaert. Contribute to yearly sales forecasts exercise as well as the strategic planning for BFT by deliver superior value to the customers. Building value proposition and gathering market & customer insights, to feed back to the global segment managers as input for their strategic plans.

 

Working Location: Shanghai or Korea office

 

Your Role:

1. Responsible for realizing sales in Korea.  Implements sales execution roadmap based on segment & marketing strategy

-    Visit customers throughout Korea following the customer segmentation roadmap
-    Manage the day-to-day commercial relationship with the client and work on the ‘lock in’ of the customers (commercial relationship comprising the relationship itself but also technical support, after sales service, sales administration, claims, accounts payable, … ).
-    Negotiate and conclude on a periodical basis on product mix, volumes and prices with the existing clients. Co-defines the value proposition for the related segment(s) and defines the pricing policy in close cooperation with the regional commercial manager and global segment manager
-    Approach the targeted prospects in order to further develop the client portfolio.
-    Makes sales reports for all visits or important telecons/videocons to the Regional Commercial Manager - Asia with clear indications of requested actions. 
-    Initiate corrective actions if necessary in order to reach maximum customer satisfaction at minimum cost in close cooperation with the customer experience manager
-    Submit monthly report with marketing & sales analysis on time.

2. Propose, develop, implement & follow up regional sales objectives (forecasts) in line with the global & Asian product / market strategy 

-    Collect all necessary information on volumes, product mix, prices, margins, … for the yearly forecast exercise
-    Make up and present a motivated and detailed forecast exercise
-    Provide accurate sales forecasts & a permanent follow up on the results
-    Take all necessary actions to achieve the forecasted results
3. Gather and distribute all relevant information on the customers, the market, the competitors, … in order to contribute to the global & Asian market & product strategy

-    Follow up the market trends (competitors, market share, interesting prospects, product & technological developments, …) 
-    Provide and maintain a regional supply/demand overview
-    Visit customers (royal, premium, standard, basic) and provide strategic view taking the ranking into account
-    Distribute immediately all important facts, figures, … that may be important for the Bekaert business
-    Support the Regional Commercial Manager - Asia with the make up of the strategic commercial plan, development priorities, …
-    Share relative market/application information/know-how with MMs in other regions within BFT in order to support each other.
-    Gathers market & competitive insights to feedback to the global segment managers to build the X+5 strategy for that segment
-    Gathers insights – where possible – to build the TCO for our product offering

4. Ensure a marketing communication which is aligned with and supports the sales activities

-    Initiate the necessary marketing actions for Korea in line with the corporate guidelines and the local sales action plans. 
-    Measures customer satisfaction, initiates appropriate actions and evaluates in close relationship with the customer experience manager
-    Follow up the marketing campaigns/actions in order to determine the effectiveness on the sales results
5. Spot, analyze and develop new application/markets

-    Stay up to date of new development and new applications where our technology is/could be used.
-    Make ground and sound analysis of the spotted application to define the potential of this new market for Bekaert Filtration.
-    On defined application in accordance with Regional Commercial Manager - Asia, develop the right answer in close collaboration with R&D and/or engineering/or Application, follow up the implementation of the defined solution in the market and help developing the sales approach in such applications.
 

 

 

 

Context Description & Dimensions:

-    Responsible for BFT sales in Korea
-    Total annual sales in his/her area reach 2-3 Million Euro 
-    Customers ranging from ~1 Million Euro to a couple of thousand Euros per year
-    Number of subordinates: none

 

 

Your Profile:

-    You are holding a bachelor or master degree in (industrial) engineering (MUST!) 
-    Technical and commercial experience (Qualification; minimum 3yrs in technical sales) 
-    Strong commercial & networking skills
-    Excellent communication & negotiation skills 
-    You must be Native Korean Speaking and fluently English speaking while Chinese is also preferred.
-    Ready to travel frequently (20 to 40% of your time)
-    Customer oriented
-    Strong team player (in & outside the own unit)
-    Able to think global and multicultural
-    Having a good understanding of global business strategies
-    Value mindset sales
