Purpose of the Job

  • Manage and support SWS in North and SEA by collecting and structuring specific information, conducting industry analysis in related industries and markets and leading projects to capture more business
  • Develop marketing tools to support the S&M teams in marketing communication, including but not limited to digital compaign
  • Manage the market intelligence (M-Deck) and competition intelligence (C-Deck) processes and system
  • Support strategic process X+1/X+5
  • Support strategic new BD projects in selected market domains and key accounts

 

Your Role

1.Market Intelligence

- Collect industry, market, competition, technical and business information of market segments in a systematic and timely way via various sources

- Structure & analyze information in collaboration with S&M and operation teams

- Conduct market studies, understand the market trend, unmet needs of the customers by contextual interviews and other channels

- Conduct market analysis of key trading flows which supports the business growth and maximize the synergy between the regions (Japan, China, SEA etc.)

- Support the business intelligence collection covering North Asia and SEA teams

2. Marketing support to X+1/X+5 and SDP, esp. conduct business analysis

- Prepare and refresh Market Deck and Competition Deck to support the business growth and decisions

- Conduct pro-active business analysis based on various market / sales / products data to support business plans and decisions

- Working closely with S&M team and support on the SDP

- Supporting X+1 and X+5 process

- Support China strategy team on business intelligence when necessary

- Giving training to sales people to attain the required level on market knowledge

3. Customer Survey

- Prepare market survey, customer survey, industry survey and other relavant surveys, to understand market trend, VOC and other needs of the customers/potential customers

- Structure & analyze information, closed-loop follow up with S&M and operation teams on key actions

- Develop and manage a CSS database to enable the business to track customer needs/trends

4. Marketing Communication

- Support digital market campaign and e-commerce activities via various business activities (e-portal,  wechat, yammar, webinar etc.)

- Preparing the correct marketing tools (e.g. ) and manage the overall marketing campaigns (brochures, folders, leaflets, presentations, demo etc.)

- Supporting S&M team in marketing promotions including online and offline exhibitions, customer seminars and others

- Coordination between corporate marketing team and local teams to make the best use of company resource

5. Strategic New BD and Opportunity Exploration Support

- Participate in the projects to identify opportunities and advise actions to capture opportunties

- Support to identify and assess new business development projects

- Support to prepare a business case

- Has the capability to take ownership of identifying business opportunity by working with cross-functional team

- Independently prepare documents for projects as requested, Presenting and defending your analysis result and recommendation to business leaders

 

 

Your Profile

1. University bachelor or master degree with engineering, business background, MBA preferred.

2. Above 5 years in a B-to-B business environment. Experience in steel/wire, materials, automotive industries will be a plus.

3. Strong analytical skills and a good afinity with figures and analytical concepts and tools.

4. Good presentation skills, good at MS Office including PowerPoint, Word and Excel etc.

5. Good co-ordination skills

6. Willing to work under pressure

7. Strong communication and negotiation skills in Mandarin and English.
