Purpose of the Job

As a Senior M365 Engineer at Bekaert, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing the Microsoft 365 platform and ensure the associated configurations and policies are supporting our business and processes. You will be working with a small team of dedicated IT professionals, supported by a larger outsourced Digital Workplace managed service, within the Advanced Digital Solutions department at Bekaert.

Your Role

1. Design and implement the Digital Workplace strategy leveraging Microsoft 365 technologies, including Active Directory, Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business, and other related applications, with a strong emphasis on providing an exceptional user experience.
2. Manage our Endpoint Management System for endpoints & BYOD, including SCCM, Intune & Autopilot and 3rd Party Software Package tools.
3. Manage our Corporate Identity Management service, Azure Active Directory, including Azure AD SSO, Permissions, Object Management, MFA & Conditional Access, B2B & B2C tenants, Policy configuration, and other related features.
4. Lead the life cycle planning of the M365 applications through the phases of strategy, architect, select, deploy, operate, evolve, and retire.
5. Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into intuitive and user-friendly solutions within the Microsoft 365 environment.
6. Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to evaluate and implement new features or enhancements within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, with a focus on improving user experience and satisfaction.
7. Work with the team to continuously monitor and analyze user behavior and adoption metrics within the Microsoft 365 environment, identifying patterns and trends to proactively address user needs and drive adoption.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Internal Communications, to develop and execute change management strategies that promote user acceptance and adoption of Microsoft 365 technologies.
9. Stay up to date with the latest trends and updates in user experience design and Microsoft 365 technologies, evaluating their potential impact on the digital workplace environment and making recommendations for improvement.

Your Profile

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
2. Proven experience (min. 5 years) as a Digital Workplace Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Microsoft 365 implementation and enhancing user experience.
3. Relevant certifications in Microsoft 365 (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert) are highly desirable.
4. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, and related technologies.
5. Experience in configuring and customizing Microsoft 365 features and functionalities to improve user experience, productivity, and collaboration.
6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address user pain points and optimize user journeys within Microsoft 365 applications.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and translate business requirements into intuitive and user-friendly solutions.
8. Proficient (C1) in English (speaking, reading, listening and writing).
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on enhancing user experience and satisfaction.
10. Experience with working in an international environment with outsourced managed services to IT partners.
11. Good understanding of ITIL processes, Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators as part of the end-to-end service management responsibility for Digital Workplace.
