Purpose and Mission

As a trusted technical expert, you will collaborate with internal teams and customers to develop high-quality, project-specific masonry solutions. With your expertise and customer focus, you will strengthen partnerships and drive the growth and innovation of Bekaert’s masonry business. Join us and be part of a global team shaping innovative solutions across diverse markets. 

Key Activities and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and advice on masonry and plastering reinforcement systems to customers, specifiers, and internal teams  
  • Design masonry façades and wall systems, including detailing of reinforcement, joints, and structural elements  
  • Perform structural calculations and verifications in line with Eurocode 6 and relevant standards  
  • Deliver clear technical documentation (drawings, calculation notes, guidelines) for clients and partners  
  • Collaborate closely with sales, technical teams, and external stakeholders to develop practical and value-driven solutions  
  • Contribute to technical knowledge sharing, training, and continuous improvement of internal practices  
  • Support market growth by acting as a trusted technical partner and promoting high-quality, buildable solutions 

Skills

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural degree, Higher Technical Qualification in Construction or a related field  
  • Strong knowledge of masonry design, structural calculations, and relevant standards (e.g. Eurocode 6)  
  • Experience in façade design or construction-related engineering is an advantage  
  • Ability to translate technical complexity into clear, practical solutions for customers  
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a customer-oriented mindset  
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and in cross-functional teams  
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
