Support to Operations Finance to have timely and accurate calculation and reporting of financial result of the plant. Help improve the performance of the Plant by identifying the GAPs towards the financial targets.


Role Summary
(Entry level position) Provides support to Operations Finance to have timely and accurate calculation and reporting of financial result of the plant. Helps improve the performance of the Plant by identifying the GAPs towards the financial targets. This role is located in Van Buren, AR.


Detailed Responsibilities

• Support X+1 budget and cost price calculation

  • In partnership with the Manager, collect all necessary data to prepare and calculate X+1 budget and assists in preparing the financial plan of the plant
  • Discusses X+1 norms and standards with departmental management
  • Manages the CO master data and the standard cost prices for all the materials to have accurate margin analysis.
  • Analyse standard cost and communicate cost fluctuations within related functions within internal departments
  • Responsible for analysing and detecting critical parameters of the production process that can have an impact on the company result
  • Performance indicators: Calculation of X+1 Budget and standard cost prices


• Support a winning business portfolio

  • Running a report on a systematic basis: expenses, cost data, inventories, recharges.
  • Assists management in calculating the efficient use of production means and systems; budgets and ensures follow-up of overheads
  • Improve the cash conversion costs, by updating performance dashboards on critical topics and reports to departmental management and Operations Finance (Controller)
  • Collects, analyses and reports on ad hoc questions about financials and cost information to departmental management and Operations Finance (Controller)
  • Checks expenses of the department and inter-departmental transfers
  • Coordinates and follows up on timely registration of use of BOM items and cash cost elements.
  • Monitors the financial procedures to ensure that systems and internal controls within the plant meet the needs of management and ensures that financial activities comply with applicable group rules.
  • Performance indicators: Identify the GAPs towards the financial targets and report to departmental management/Operations Finance (Controller)


▪ Support management by analysing the effective use of resources and systems.

  • Monitors the working capital and proposes actions to meet the targets


• Support Periodic closing and reporting

  • Safeguard the accuracy of the costs booked on the cost centers and set up accruals if needed
  • Checks valorisation of sales and perform sales margin analysis
  • Valorisation of stock, both monthly and at year end, including coordination of internal audits
  • Follow up on scrap/reject figures and review inventory correction postings
  • Analyses all variances on the different cost centers and reports to departmental management/ Operations Finance (Controller)
  • Prepares all necessary follow up reports to report on the performance of the plant related costs to departmental management
  • Supplies data for and assists in consolidation reporting
  • Performance indicators: Assist in timely reporting of accurate plant result. All necessary reports are updated in time and in good quality


• Support Investment analysis/ BMS saving projects


  • Supports in checking the correctness of the tangible assets, including tags
  • Assists in the evaluation of current investment files.
  • Cooperates in related projects and studies.
  • Support in checking the correct calculation of BMS savings projects


• IT Support

  • Assist in checking the correct SAP flows

Functional Skills

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Accounting acumen (IFRS, relevant/local GAAP),
  • Business acumen
  • Knowledge of local tax and tax accounting processes and requirements
  • Identifying key finance risks, general ledger accounting, balance sheet controls,
  • Process excellence and continuous improvement
  • Analytical Thinking and Analysis
  • Budgeting & forecasting
  • Technology Savvy (SAP essentials, MS Office, MS Teams, SharePoint)
  • Verbal and written proficiency in English
