Quality & SHE Manager

Purpose and Mission

• Responsible for  the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems (QMS) within a specific plant. 

Key Activities and Responsibilities

• QMS Implementation and Maintenance:
  - Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS in alignment with quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
  - Create and update quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
  - Ensure that all processes are documented, controlled, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

• Audits and Inspections:
  - Conduct internal audits to assess QMS effectiveness and compliance.
  - Prepare for and participate in external audits by regulatory agencies or certification bodies.
  - Address audit findings and implement corrective actions.

• Document Control:
  - Manage document control processes, including version control, approvals, and archiving.
  - Ensure that documents are accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to authorized personnel.
  - Train employees on document management procedures.

• Change Management:
  - Review and approve changes to processes, procedures, and specifications.
  - Assess the impact of changes on the QMS and coordinate necessary updates.
  - Maintain change logs and communicate changes to relevant teams.

• Training and Competency:
  - Develop and deliver QMS training programs for employees.
  - Assess competency levels and ensure that personnel understand their roles in maintaining quality.
  - Monitor training records and certifications.

• Risk Management:
  - Participate in risk assessments related to product quality, safety, and compliance.
  - Identify and mitigate risks within the QMS.
  - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address high-risk areas.

• Metrics and Performance Monitoring:
  - Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for the QMS.
  - Collect and analyze data to measure QMS performance.
  - Generate reports and present findings to management.

• Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
  - Lead or participate in process improvement projects.
  - Use quality tools (e.g., root cause analysis, Six Sigma) to identify areas for enhancement.
  - Foster a culture of continuous learning and quality awareness.

Skills

Previous Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in quality systems management or related roles.

Qualifications and Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quality Management, Engineering).
• Certification (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, ISO Lead Auditor).
