Purpose and Mission
The Logistics department provides a critical service to our customers via key stakeholders.
This is a part-time position, offered as a replacement for a duration of 12 months.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
· Deal with logistics budget rate enquiries via approved freight partners ensuring timely responses within set KPI’s.
· Share / Offer advice on Logistics options.
· Able to update & check the Orderbook for Orders becoming ready and action.
· Request rates and plan / make bookings with approved freight partners, targeting due dates and within financial budget.
· Create SAP transport documents.
· For Customer collections, create Goods Ready Notes and email to the Customer and their agents, with regular follow up.
· Ensure all Logistics costs are accurately recorded in SAP.
· Raise Purchase Requisitions to cover any transport movements outside of SAP.
· Raise invoices & check all shipping documents for errors.
· Complete SAP transactions in full through to final invoicing.
· Email out final invoices.
· Ensure that SharePoint files are complete and up to date, ensuring there is a robust audit trail.
· Work closely all internal functions including the production sites, customer services, sales and credit control to ensure that all documentation is accurate to ensure seamless delivery and invoicing.
Skills
· Shipping / Logistics experience
· Excellent forward planning skills
· Good focus on customer service.
· Organised with excellent attention to detail and an eye for discrepancies.
· Be able to prioritise workload.
· Ability to work under pressure.
· Have a can-do, proactive attitude and be a team player.
· Computer literate in Microsoft office programs.
· Knowledge of SAP an advantage, although full training will be provided.
· Driving Licence an advantage.
· Good communication skills both written & verbal as the candidate will be trusted to work with company financial documents.
