Role:- Multi-Skilled Technician

Location:-  Newcastle (Willington and Neptune Quays)

Salary:- Basic pay is £38,814.85 plus £2,968.79 shift allowance per annum.

Shifts:- Weekly shift rotation of 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm (Monday to Friday)

About this role

As part of our ongoing growth and development we are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Technician to join our team working across our two Newcastle sites which are 4 miles apart.

Responsibilities

As a Multi Skilled Technician, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the availability and reliability of plant and machinery across two sites in Newcastle Upon Tyne. This involves proactive measures to minimize plant downtime through diligent maintenance practices, adherence to health and safety protocols, continuous improvement initiatives, and project work.

Duties will consist of but aren’t limited to:-

• Keeping machinery running smoothly
• Proactively resolving faults.
• Diagnostic tests and reactive maintenance to avoid faults occurring.

The Ideal Candidate will possess or be able to demonstrate:-

• You will need experience in maintenance and repair of industrial machinery.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work within confined spaces or at heights.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and environments.
• Availability for occasional work at different sites as required.
