The Content Marketer translates the different marketing strategies defined by the Marketing and Sales Management of BFT into content development, maintenance, selection and set-up of the right channels to get the content to the right target groups. His/her objective is to drive lead generation and increase technology and brand awareness.

 

Content development

  • Inspire, ideate, create, improve, maintain and gather content, aligned with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with our technical and commercial teams to gather deep insights into the value propositions of our products and capabilities
  • Interpret brand and marketing strategy defined by our stakeholders and translate our value propositions into engaging content (eg. website content, advertorials, social media posts, sales and technical presentations, etc.) and define target audiences, personas and stages of the customer journey
  • Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations
  • Write content/short copy (eg. posts, articles, copy for website, brochures, etc.)
  • Define most suitable format in function of channel selection (eg. infographics, illustrations, text, video, animation, photography, etc.)
  • Coordinate collaboration with internal & external copywriters, marketing coordinators and designers
  • Optimize content according to SEO and analytics

 

Content distribution

  • Recommend content distribution channels (eg. social media, conference, blog, website, webinar, PR, etc.) based on insights into target audience channel preferences and information needs (eg. keyword analysis, etc.)
  • Selection and set-up of the right channels to get the content to the right target audiences and stakeholders (eg. prospects, end-customers, influencers, etc.)
  • Responsible for set up of distribution campaigns and coordinate implementation with marketing coordinators
  • Brand building: develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print and online platforms/media.
  • Coordinate and challenge collaboration with external agencies together with the marketing coordinators
  • Stay updated about new media & industry trends
  • Optimize distribution plan and website according to analytics

 

Analytics

  • Utilize a range of inputs from user research, site analytics, SEO analytics to measure and optimize the content strategy

 

Requirements:

 

  • Creative Bachelor (eg. marketing, communication, journalism)
  • +5y experience in: Content Marketing, PR, Digital MarCom, …  preferably in a B2B context
  • Digital savvy: experience in digital marketing, setting up campaigns, keyword analysis, awareness of current online marketing concepts, strategies and best practices, eager to learn and stay up-to-date on latest trends, tools and ways of working
  • Ability to create, update, and maintain different kind of content pieces
  • Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it
  • Good copywriting skills, creative thinker, storyteller, quality and result oriented
  • Perfect spoken and written knowledge of English (near native level)
  • Familiar with analytics and numbers to optimize performance
  • Ability to think visual: knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and photography / video is a plus
  • High level of initiative and ability to work in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders to gather content and the marketing team in delivering the content to the end user.
