About the role
As the BFT/UFW Global Finance Business Partner you will be acting as a right-hand for the VP’s of both Bekaert Fibre Technologies (Filtration and Innovative Fiber Solutions) and Ultra Fine Wire segments to drive Bekaert’s ongoing business and transition initiatives in those segments. Operations finance of several worldwide production facilities will report to you and you will act as direct supervisor and provide leadership to these on-site finance operations employees.
Your Impact as the Global Finance Business Partner
- You provide support for growth cases, prepare financial business cases, challenge sensibly the assumptions and sensitize to stress-tests. You monitor strategic, operational, and financial value realization after implementation starts and work with relevant VP’s for corrective actions or for new strategic directions as necessary.
- You follow up and provide input to steer pricing to reflect latest manufacturing costs and overhead costs evolution, you participate in price setting in long-term supply agreements and you advise on credit terms and accounts receivable payment terms with customers to reduce overdues.
- You are responsible for the preparation of end-to-end ebitU, capital employed, CapEx and OCF for short-term forecast, yearly budget and long-term planning and you will challenge the assumptions and sensitize the forecasts to stress testing.
- You provide business insights based on month-end financial analyses, devise corrective actions and identify opportunities if actual financials deviate from forecast financials.
- You take on the role of supervisor of the various on-site operations finance employees throughout the related production plants: day to day operations point of contact, cost & Inventory accounting, localized cost control and validation and local cost optimization.
- You liaise between the Global Business Services (shared service centers) the various centers of Expertise and the On-Site business Finance teams.
About You
Essential skills & competencies
- You are a qualified accountant, and you have a master’s degree and preferably MBA and you have at least 8-10 years of relevant financial business partnering experience with business unit general manager. Experience in renewable energy industry is an asset.
- You have experience in value pricing setting in a commercial environment and M&A experience is an asset.
- You have hands-on knowledge with SAP and with business forecasting analytics.
- You demonstrate excellent financial modelling skills, strong corporate finance and business valuation knowledge.
- You possess a can-do attitude, can work independently, are a self-starter and are able to improvise. You are assertive and able to challenge management in a diplomatic manner.
- You are able to explain complex financial concepts in simple terms.
