About the role

As part of the Customer Strategy and Performance unit, the Global Pricing Manager owns and drives the Bekaert pricing journey by further developing and implementing the pricing roadmap towards a worldclass price management. With his central pricing team she / he develops and coordinates all pricing initiatives across the global Business Unit’s to ensure alignment and consistency in pricing practices throughout the organization. In cooperation with the Business Unit’s, the Global Pricing Manager drives the Bekaert pricing performance on the next level.

Your Impact as Global Pricing Manager:

  • You develop and implement our strategic pricing roadmap towards the installation of an advanced price management which builds on a price orientation of value based pricing and strategic pricing.
  • You enable the advanced price management by achieving a high level of price performance based on price realization, price performance systems (methodologies, techniques and tools) and pricing governance.
  • You acquire sufficient understanding of the Bekaert business to become a real business partner, able to challenge and support current and future pricing decisions.
  • You spearhead to strengthen the network driven pricing organization which is based on representations in the business units and the central pricing team.
  • You lead, coach, motivate and further strengthen the central pricing team in order to develop pricing methodologies and tools and give support to the different BU’s as part of the network driven pricing organization.
  • You permanently challenge our strategic pricing roadmap by best-in-class benchmarking and actively seeking input from external sources.
  • You are part of our digital transformation by using advanced digital tools as enabler for developing our pricing systems and, as part of the Customer Strategy & Performance unit, you are key in moving towards data driven commercial teams, even beyond data driven pricing decisions.
  • With your team, you prepare and communicate the monthly global pricing reporting and analysis and work with the business on actions where needed.
  • You are leading the monthly Global Pricing Committee (incl. CFO, CSO and the VP’s Finance and Strategy of the different BU’s) which is instrumental to drive the pricing roadmap and performance by being supported by the top-leadership of the Bekaert organization.

About You

Essential skills & competencies

  • Master Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or Data Science with 10+ years professional experience and at least 5+ years of relevant experience in strategic price management, preferably in similar industries or as a consultant
  • Profound understanding and knowledge of existing and advanced pricing methodologies, strategies, and practices.
  • Strong stakeholder management and networking skills and ability to communicate complex topics in a simple way to top and senior leaders as well as cross functional teams.
  • Effective at problem solving with advanced analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong digital mindset.
  • Excellent skills in MS Office Excel, PowerBI, Powerpoint.
  • Fluent in English.
