About the role

Our PEM electrolyser components business is one of the main growth pillars within Bekaert group. As a Product Manager PEM you create sustainable growth in the Hydrogen segment by continuously growing our product offering and value propositions. You identify the customer needs, build deep application intelligence, and translate this knowledge into the product roadmap. You execute product innovation & commercialization initiatives, you turn the product vision into reality and you are responsible for product portfolio management and optimization for the PEM segment.

 

Your Impact as Product Manager Electrolyser Components :

The Product Manager – PEM creates sustainable growth in the Hydrogen segment by continuously growing our product offering and value propositions. You identify the customer needs, build deep application intelligence, and translate this into the product roadmap. You drive product innovation & commercialization initiatives, and you rally the organization to turn the product vision into reality.

  • You translate business strategy into product strategy by acquiring deep application knowledge and by translating market & technology intelligence into the product roadmap, ensuring customer needs are reflected and addressed in the product development efforts as well as ensuring competitiveness of offering relative to competitors.
  • You build market & technology intelligence by interacting with customers, 3rd parties and by monitoring competitive product portfolios and innovations to understand application requirements, technology trends, production processes and processing conditions, technical challenges, development needs, product specs, etc. You provide insight to stakeholders.
  • You build and improve the X+5 product roadmap, you translate ideas into workable proposals, guarantee the highest performing product in the market and you build compelling value propositions.
  • You determine the context for pricing of products, you define high-level product requirements and write product specifications, you plan and carry out product launches and you manage all aspects of in-life products including customer feedback, technical documentation, and support.
  • You support the Industrial Property (IP) strategy formulation and execution, and you contribute to the marketing communication.

 

About You

Essential skills & competencies

  • You have a master’s degree and have at least 4 years of experience and thorough knowledge of technology, applications, product properties and production processes. Expertise in solving complaints technically and commercially.
  • You can build sound working relationships & form positive connections that create an atmosphere of open communication and easy exchange of information.
  • You demonstrate strong narrative and presentation skills, generating enthusiasm amongst prospects.
  • You have a strong business acumen and build insights on market and technology.
  • You are strongly analytical and have a drive for results.
  • Fluent in English.
