Purpose and Mission

The SWS and L&M Master Data Coordinator plays a key role in the master data set up during the digitalization
projects deploying digital tools in the SWS & L&M plants. He/she leads the plant content owners, key users, process
engineers and quality engineers in the collection of the necessary data, and guides the master data team in the
design, set up and validation of the master data needed in the digital tools.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

Material Master Data Management

• Global Material Classification
- Guide the design and maintenance of global material classification structures.
- Take the necessary design decisions from business pov.
- Ensure proper governance and compliance with corporate standards by monitoring PCOs
• Material Master Data Content
- Monitor, review and complete content as used across SAP, MES, and OMP environments.
• Wire Processes Coding
- Maintain and validate the coding structures for manufacturing processes.
• Alternative Units of Measure (UoM)
- Define, review and/or complete UoM definitions across SAP, MES, and OMP systems
• Inspection Plans
- Review inspection plan data in MES for accuracy and completeness.
• Packing Instructions
- Review and validate packing instruction data within SAP & MES.

Manufacturing (SAP MFG) Master Data

• Process Parameter Characteristics
- Lead the design of manufacturing process parameters for the plants during the digital system deployment preparation
- Ensure that the design is in line with proper governance and complies with standards
for use in SAP and MES (accuracy and completeness)
• Quality master data (testing, material and customer specifications)
• Costing Parameters
- Review and complete key costing parameters (e.g., speed, efficiency, resource usage) across SAP, MES, and OMP.
• Recipes & Bills of Materials (BOM)
- Review and validate recipe and BOM data across SAP, MES, and OMP, including:
BOM material assignments, quantity accuracy, sort strings.


MES Master Data

• Prepares and maintains templates for plant basic MES MD setup
• Guiding role in basic MES plant setup
• Keep oversight to ensures strong governance around MES master data standards and change control

Skills

Experience working with SAP (MM, PP, or PP PI modules), MES systems, or OMP is strongly preferred.
Previous involvement in data governance, auditing, or process validation is an advantage. 
Understanding of ERP/MES master data structures (materials, BOMs, routings, recipes, costing parameters) is a plus, as is hands on experience with:
•    SAP (Material Master, BOM, Routing/Recipe, UoM, Costing data)
•    MES data structures and plant setup
•    OMP planning master data (asset structure, UoM, attributes)

Ability to interpret and validate complex data relationships across systems.
Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
High attention to detail with a focus on data quality and consistency.
Excellent communication skills across functional teams (Operations, Planning, IT, Quality, Engineering). 
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. 
Structured, process oriented mindset.
Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and system optimization. 

Previous Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in master data management, production planning, manufacturing operations, or ERP/MES support.

Qualifications and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
