About the role

 Your Impact as Sales Manager - EMEA - PEM

 

As Sales Manager - EMEA - PEM you would be responsible to create growth in the product/application segment Advanced PTL’s (Porous Transport Layers) for PEM electrolysis (Proton Exchange Membrane) within the region EMEA. You would initiate and explore new business opportunities; manage a portfolio of new leads and existing customers and you convert this opportunity pipeline into sustainable repeat business.

 

  • Approach and follow up on leads to cultivate and expand the customer portfolio.
  • Actively contribute to and participate in marketing initiatives, including content marketing, exhibition at fairs, and conference lectures.
  • Provide assistance in converting prospects throughout the buying cycle and negotiate spot buys and supply agreements, determining terms, volumes, and prices.
  • Generate accurate sales forecasts and diligently follow up on the achieved results.
  • Manage day-to-day relationship with customers and work on the ‘lock in’ of the customers (commercial relationship comprising the relationship itself but also stakeholder management, site visits, quotations, after sales service, sales admin, Accounts Payable)
  • Strategically manage a limited number of top customers as part of Key Account Management.
  • Ensure gathering of industry, market, customer and competitor intelligence data as inputs for the long-term business strategy.
  • Keep customers informed of the latest technical developments relevant to our products and collaborate with them to obtain and agree on specific requirements and product specifications.
  • Create and present commercial offerings designed to facilitate the adoption of new product features.

About You

Essential skills & competencies

 

  • University degree (Master’s or Bachelor's) in Engineering or a related field with minimum of 5 years of experience in the area as specified.
  • Proven experience in technical sales or a related role
  • Strong understanding of of technology, product properties, and production processes.
  • Ability to build durable, trusting relationships and leverage networks effectively.
  • Connect with key internal and external stakeholders, analyze issues effectively, and drive results through coordinated efforts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate technical information effectively.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on driving product adoption.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
