About the role

Your Impact as VP Legal:

•    Leads a global and diverse Legal team to assist the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer 
•    Ensures optimal organization, people, and knowledge management of the Legal function
•    Advises top management in complex worldwide legal issues, protecting the legal and economical interests of the company
•    Acts as legal business partner for one or more business units
•    Leads the transformation of the Legal function towards the renewed ambition and maturity level using the six-pillar operating model framework
•    Maps out key legal risks and develops and implements mitigation plans 
•    Coaches the Legal counsels and supports them with their personal development

About You

Essential skills & competences

•    Strong leadership profile, capable of influencing the organization enterprise-wide
•    Extensive people management skills, especially within a fast-paced high-performing culture
•    Extensive relevant experience of which at least 3-5 years as private practitioner in an international lawfirm and 12-15+ years as senior inhouse counsel in a global business
•    Study and/or work experience in a region outside of Europe
•    Proven track record in project management, with a focus on transformation initiatives

•    Budget management experience
•    Keen eye for internal and external stakeholder management, across different geographies and cultures
•    Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty; the ability to adapt nimbly and lead others through complex situations
•    Proficiency in office productivity tools and willingness to learn new software and systems
•    Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
