Key Account Manager, Global Accounts

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

     DESCRIPTION  OF THE ACTIVITIES & SCOPE OF AUTHORITY & PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  1. Work closely with Global Account Manager to ensure full customer transparency, strategic intent of the Account and its key priorities and business goals.

 

 

  1. Use appropriate tools/ templates to gather, document and analyze data into information
  2. Apply the DMU map of the Account organization to effectively maneuver and manage relationships
  3. Derive actionable insights by combining information and interaction with the DMU in the Account
  4. Understand the Account’s business goals and communicate them internally to relevant stakeholder in Bekaert. As two-way communication, also communicate Bekaert business goal to customer when necessary to avoid surprise
  5. Understand the Account’s basic and latent needs through establishing various interactions at multiple levels
  6. Build and update the value curve for the Account based on the key buying factors
  1. Develop account   strategies, formulate account plans and regularly review the implementation of account strategies.

 

 

     Translate customer’s strategies and priorities into new opportunities and joint innovation roadmap across entire Bekaert product portfolio and services

     Define the strategic account plans in short-/mid-/long-term targets including clear implementation plans

     Ensure implementation of account plans, including qualification of products, sales forecast, maintenance of BCE tool, reports for management, quality management (8D) and supply chain topics.

     Manage P-M, Margin, Volume, manage working capital, AR/DSO/Overdue/Inventories, assure on-time delivery to the Account

     Report on implementation status of account plan and communicate customer development status with RR Leadership Team

  1. Build broad networks and strong relationships within both Bekaert and the customer organization at all levels, including senior executives, leading to customer intimacy.

 

 

 

  1. Work across all relevant cross-functional areas in Bekaert, e.g., senior executives, BCE, Product, Marketing, Operation, Quality, etc. to guarantee effective communication, implementation, and execution of business objectives.
  2. Develop network strategies, not only the intimacy with customer purchase, R&D but also with other functions like SCM, quality etc; not only within customer org., but also in the broader automotive market.
  3. Build up high-level exchanges of visits with valuable achievements for both Bekaert and the customer

 

 

V. Requirements and Qualifications

  1. Preferably at least 5-8 years of experience in Marketing/Sales/ Technical within Bekaert or in the relevant position or industry, Commercial experience will be a plus
  2. Customer oriented without forgetting you need to be Bekaert oriented in the first place
  3. Long term vision – keep track of tendencies in market / global economics
  4. Good in English and/or whatever main business language is at customer
  5. Good interpersonal skills and able to build the professional network within Bekaert and Customer
  6. Friendly, very good listener, enthusiastic, stress resistant and being tough when needed.
  7. A bachelor's degree in engineering, economics (Preferably but not absolutely necessary)
