Regional SHE Manager BE & UK

Purpose and Mission

• Responsible for overseeing safety, health, and environmental excellence within  our Belgian & UK sites   
• Focus is on effectively communicating corporate SHE goals and objectives.
• The role will be located within one of our Belgian sites and will require approx. 25% of travel to our UK sites to ensure an on site presence.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

• Coordinate, develop, implement, and enforce SHE initiatives, ensuring adherence to global guidelines, best practices and regulatory standards.
• Assist in policy development and publication of safety or environmental education materials.
• Conduct safety inspections, identify root causes of accidents, and ensure corrective actions.
• Provide health and safety expertise, to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and applicable safety standards to include ANSI and NFPA codes and regulations.
• Perform periodic safety and compliance audits, for facilities within the region and oversee action plans that arise from them.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors.
• Work closely with site managers, cross-functional teams, and external agencies.
• Monitor safety KPIs, track trends, and implement corrective measures.
• Develop and test emergency response plans for various scenarios.

Essential Skills & Competencies

• Professionally qualified SHE professional (NEBOSH General Certificate or Belgian Level 1 Safety Adviser).

• Minimum 5+ years of SHE experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, with a proven track record in driving SHE performance.

• Strong knowledge of safety standards, risk management, hazard identification, and familiarity with OSHA, ISO, NFPA, and ANSI frameworks.

• Experience with environmental compliance, permits, incident reporting, root cause analysis, and contractor safety oversight.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively from shop floor to leadership and external bodies.

• Proven ability to deliver SHE training and foster a strong safety culture across sites.

• Hands-on, pragmatic, and results-driven, with strong problem-solving and execution capabilities.

• Strategic and adaptable mindset, with experience operating across multiple sites and business units.

• Willing to travel between Belgium (75%) and the UK (25%).

• Fluent in English and Dutch ( Written & Verbal)
